With nearly 300km of gorgeous coastline, mountainous spa escapes with natural hot springs, and a culture that embraces the finer things, it’s time to relax and rejuvenate in Montenegro.

Sveti Stefan Beach

An icon of Montenegro’s coast, Sveti Stefan is a picture-perfect, pink-hued pebble beach that leads to a small and historic island of the same name. The sands stretch to form a small bridge across the Adriatic’s waves, where old buildings with terracotta roofs cluster on the small promontory. It’s an idyllic sight when relaxing on this gorgeous stretch of coastline.

Igalo Spa History

Montenegro is fortunate to be pocked by thermal springs, with a wellness tradition stretching back thousands of years. Head for Herceg Novi, a small town on the Bay of Kotor, where you’ll find Igalo - renowned for its therapeutic thermal waters. The local thermal springs feed the town’s many spas, where visitors can enjoy mud therapies and treatments with mineral-rich seawater - perfect for total rejuvenation.

Blue Cave, Luštica Peninsula

For an otherworldly swim, don’t miss this enchanting sea cave. Only accessible by boat, follow the craggy, wave-battered coast as your charter takes you through the mouth of the cave. Here, you’ll have an opportunity to swim in deep blue waters, lit by the glimmer of sunlight emanating from the rock’s mouth.

Ada Bojana Island

At Montenegro’s southern tip, Ada Bojana is a picturesque island formed around a shipwreck; years of sediment from the river created this sandy outpost, and now yogi, naturists and outdoor lovers flock in their droves. This peaceful spot primed on the delta is a unique and hippy mecca, perfect for a restorative escape that’s just the right touch of bohemian.

Coastal Calm

Montenegro's coastal towns offer wellness experiences in abundance, from luxury retreats in the Bay of Kotor (try Chernot Escape at One&Only Portonovi in Herceg Novi, the Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort Spa, and Spa Soul in Kotor), to charming towns such as Budva, Bar and Ulcinj known for their yoga retreats. Montenegro’s coast provides scenic natural beauty, set amongst rolling hills, olive groves and pristine beaches along the Adriatic Sea. You’ll also find a wealth of thermal springs with mineral-rich waters known for their health benefits.

King’s Beach, Miločer

Once reserved for royalty, this secluded crescent of pink sand is sheltered by cypress and olive trees. It’s not hard to see why it was picked by Kings and Queens - its beauty is breathtaking, easily making it one of the finest sands on the Adriatic.
